Guided Fishing Trips on Gull Lake
"Bass N' Family Tournament Champion"
Jeff Gunnett
Jeff has been fishing for the better part of 35 years and has competed in and won
many local Bass Tournaments, including the Bass N' Family Tournament that held
its Classic on Gull Lake. Jeff and his partner more than doubled the nearest teams'
total weight to take the title.
Gull Lake offers a wide variety of species of game fish to pursue with Largemouth
and Smallmouth bass being at the top of the list. Pike, Bluegill, Rockbass and
Perch are also prevalent and provide good table fare if fresh fish is on the dinner
Trips can be focused on Bass and Pike and/or pan fish. You decide and Jeff will
put you on the fish.
Guided trips are aboard a modest Bass Tracker PRO 17 that is fully equipped with
comfortable seating for 2 passengers, electric trolling motor, fish finder, electric
anchors, aerated live well, and a 40 hp Mercury motor.
Fishing equipment can be provided or you are welcome to bring your own rods and
tackle. Bass and Pike can be caught by casting a large array of artificial lures;
crank baits, spinner baits, top water lures, as well as a wide array of soft plastics.
Pan fish can be caught by trolling small plastic artificial lures or by using live bait
suspended under a float. Natural colored lures on light line (6-10 lb test) produce
the best results as the fish can see very well in the clear water.
Gull Lake is a large, deep, and gin-clear body of water. Fishing can be challenging
if you don't know where to drop your lure. Jeff has fished this body of water many
times over the course of 10+ years and knows where to go to provide the best
opportunity to land a fish of a lifetime.
